About me:
I am a German psychologist, who grew up in London, UK. After my undergraduate degrees I moved to Lisbon, Portugal, to pursue research in motivation and burnout. After my PhD I worked in research in Bremen, Germany, before moving to the North Sea in Germany and working in various clinics. I travel between Düsseldorf (Germany) and the North Sea.
What do I find interesting?
I love talking to people and finding out what drives them. Everyone is different, but there are also some things we can all agree on: we want to be happy, be loved and be safe.
What is the purpose of this blog?
I notice increasingly how difficult it is to adapt to the rapid changes in our world. The impact of AI and unstable global conditions pressure us to leave our comfort zone. I find that the mood on the streets and on the internet is becoming increasingly aggressive. With this blog, I want to help others understand how we can adapt to life better. I combine research, practical experience and my own observations to explore how and why life affects us – and how to cope with it.
Feel free to send me ideas, thoughts and feedback. Please share this weekly blog to spread the word!
